PPC:Frequently Asked Questions.
We are often asked how many keywords we would recommend be used in your PPC campaign, opinions in the industry vary but we believe this should be based on your website content. If you are only using a few landing pages, we would not recommend using a massive list of keywords as many of them would probably not be relevant to your website content and your Quality Score would be driven down from it. A lower quality score usually means a higher price per click, lower position and reduced return on your investment.
Should we bid on our company name [brand]? Yes, unless you are a high profile company, keywords that are related to your company or brands should be cheaper, so rather than letting this traffic go to a competitor, we would recommend bidding! In addition, these types of keywords usually provide a higher conversion rate, greater brand recognition and increase your overall CTR’s [click through rates], which in turn can mean you pay less per click across your ad groups. Of course as part of our PPC service we will closely monitor the performance of these types of keyword.
You will at all times have access to your own PPC account, however we do recommend, until advised otherwise, that you do not make any changes on your own!
We have many years experience in sales and marketing, both offline and online, and would be happy to support you in any other sales/marketing projects or initiatives. We also offer search engine optimisation, website design and creative marketing services.
